Shibuya Shibuya, we face a shining future
Underworld take centre stage at the tomato 25th Anniversary exhibition “O” at Parco Shibuya, Tokyo.
Parco proudly present the 25th anniversary exhibition of globally acclaimed design collective tomato. The exhibition “O” will occupy Shibuya Parco from March 12th thru April 3rd, 2016 and with an exclusive appearance of Underworld as the “O” exhibition’s exclusive opening event.
Underworld’s Rick Smith and Karl Hyde, two of tomato’s original founder members, will present a unique once in a lifetime high-quality-live-to-headphone performance to 200 lucky people wearing Bowers & Wilkins P5 headphones in Shibuya on the evening of March 12th.
The performance will be broadcast live via Shibuyanoradio (87.6 FM), taking the show to the streets of Shibuya and premiering new material from their forthcoming album “Barbara Barbara, we face a shining future”.
In a world-first and in partnership with Galaxy and Bowers & Wilkins, Underworld build on their reputation for technical innovation, streaming the show as a live 360-degree visual experience to viewers in a satellite venue using Galaxy Gear VR (powered by Oculus).
In addition, they will also be contributing to the “O” exhibition with an art installation featuring the painting work of Karl Hyde and audio-scape by Rick Smith at Gallery X.
Underworld release their 7th studio album “Barbara Barbara, we face a shining future” – their first in 6 years.
